Workshop on PHP by Dr. R.K. Pushkarna, Director St. Solider Institute of Management & Technology, Jalandhar

A 40 hrs workshop on PHP was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya by Dr. R.K. Pushkarna, Director at St. Soldier Management & Technical Institute, Jalandhar from 13-11-2015 to 05-12-2015. Dr. Pushkarna shared the treasure of his knowledge regarding PHP as a versatile programming language with the foundation classes of BMM, B. Vocational (web Technologies & multimedia). He started by introducing the basics of programming and then moved towards more complex methods of PHP. Students were taught using real life based exampled related to PHP commands and objects which made the concepts easier to understand and memorize. Students also got to learn the finer nuances of programming with PHP for current web scenario and future technologies.

Industrial Visit to Punjabi Channel "PTC" Chandigarh

The students of Multimedia and Mass Communication  Departments of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya visited the Mohali office of Punjabi Channel PTC.  The students participated as audience in programme ‘Punjab Speaks’ of PTC Channel.  Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj told that ‘Punjab Speaks’ show of PTC had theme on ‘Journalism’ for the particular episode.  The students of HMV asked their queries from the experts called on by the channel.  Moreover, the host of the show Rita Sharma also gave special tips on anchoring afterwards.  The head of the Mass Communication and Video Production Deptt., Mrs. Rama Sharma and Mr. Ashish Chadha of Multimedia Deptt. also took part in the show proceedings.

A Seminar on Internet & Web Development by Mr. Smarth Behl from Microsoft, Hyderabad, and Mr. Shubhankar Chawla

A Seminar on “Internet & web Development” was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya on 14.11.2015 by Department of Multimedia. Mr. Smarth Behl from (Microsoft, Hyderabad), and Mr. Shubhankar Chawla from (Accenture, Bangalore) shared their expertise in the field of HTML 5, CSS 3 and JavaScript with the classes of B. Vocational web technology and multimedia and Bachelor of multimedia. Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj appreciated the efforts and motivated the students to think creatively.

A workshop on HTML & CSS by Nimble Technocrats, Jalandhar

A four day workshop on HTML & CSS was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya from 31^st  August, 2015 by Department of Multimedia. The delegates from the Nimble Technocrat, Jalandhar gave their skilled guiding principle to the foundation classes of BMM, B. Vocational (web Technologies & multimedia )and Computer Science about the basics of HTML & CSS to cope up with technically evolving era .Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj appreciated the efforts & motivated the students to think productively. Coordinator Mr. Jagjit Bhatia had attended the seminar with other faculty members.

BMM Top positions

The students of Bachelors of Multimedia of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar bagged top positions in GNDU examinations held in May, 2015. Megha of BMM 2nd Semester topped the university with 1st position, while Ramanpreet Kaur 5th in University. The result of BMM Semester –VI student Ms. Andleeb Iqbal got 2nd position in university. Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj congratulated the staff & students for their achievements.

A Seminar on Technologies in Current Scenario by Nimble Technocrats, Jalandhar

A Seminar on “Technologies in current Scenario” was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya on 06.08.2015 by Department of Multimedia. A professional from Nimble Technocrat, Jalandhar gave his expert guidelines to the foundation classes of BMM, B. Vocational and Computer Science about new and thriving technologies in the present era. The students were enlightened and motivated with the facts and knowledge delivered to them. Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bahrdwaj appreciated the efforts & motivated the students to think creatively. Coordinator Mr. Jagjit Bhatia and faculty members Mr. Ashish Chadha, Ms. Harleen kaur, Ms. Anjali, Ms. Mansi Malhotra also graced the occasion with their presence.

Faculty Development Program: Adobe Software

Keeping in mind of ever evolving technologies that gets upgraded every new dawn, A 4 days Faculty Development Program from 26 to 29 April, 2015 was organized by Multimedia Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar under the guidance of Mr. Jagjit Bhatia, coordinator. Enthusiastic participation was seen during the program not only by the multimedia faculty but a keen involvement was seen by the faculty of other departments as well. The professionals from Adobe Systems introduced and explained the new tools in the upgraded version of the software collection and gave many tips regarding the same where the faculty of the college enriched their intelligent quotient regarding the ADOBE CS6 Master Collection. One day workshop was also provided on photography, where the faculty came across the technicalities of the digital photography. Mrs. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj, Principal HMV Jalandhar appreciated the efforts of the department to enhance the proficiencies of the college faculty.

5 Days Workshop on Advance web technologies and market senario by Nimble Tecnocrats, Jalandhar

The 5 day workshop on “Advance web technologies and market senario” was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya by the department of multimedia from 20.03.2015 to 25.03.2015. This workshop was conducted by the industry professionals of Nimble Technocrats, Jalandhar. During the workshop students learned various techniques for designing websites that included basic and intermediate concepts. Live projects were also assigned to the students to improve their core competence to enhance their employability. This was the step taken towards inculcating the web designing skills in the students of B. Vocational .Where students took participation enthusiastically and gained extensive insight regarding the tips and tricks used by professionals in their work field. Mr. Sukhpreet  the delegate from Nimble Technocrats, Jalandhar delivered the technical knowledge to the students that allowed students to become proficient Web Designer in short period of time. Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj appreciated the efforts & motivated the students to work hard to improve their competence .Workshop coordinator Mr. Jagjit Bhatia, faculty of dept. had given best wishes and encouraged the students about the importance of technological skills in their professional carrier.

A guest lecture on Personality Development by Mr. Simerjeet Singh from Cutting Edge, Learning Systems

A Guest lecture on personality development was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya on 13^th March, 2015 by Department of Multimedia and Psychology. Mr. Simerjeet Singh, a dynamic personality from Cutting Edge, Learning Systems gave his expert guidelines to the foundation classes of BMM, B. Vocational (Web-technologies & Multimedia) and psychology department about the basic concept of developing the personality giving the insights to find the suppressed personality that one already possess. Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj appreciated the efforts & motivated the students to develop their inner ability to bring positive changes in the society. Faculty members had attended the seminar.

Mr. Singh explained the concept identifying the personality that one already possess by being true to one self by knowing your inner beauty and that’s the original personality. He stressed on accepting the original self that we are and not to hide the precious beings that we are behind the veil of misconceptions that we have about self-personality.

Industrial visit to the Living India News Channel, Mohali

Department of Multimedia organized an Industrial visit under the coordination of Mr. Jagjit Bhatia to the Living India News Channel, Mohali on 18^th February 2015. The BMM & B.Vocational (Web Technology & Multimedia) students got an opportunity to learn the technical aspect of the media industry. Mr Surinder Dhalla Sr. Editor Living India News Channel gave the insight to the students. In-depth knowledge was given to the students regarding the platforms used, equipments employed in their field. The students were given exposure to visit the news room where students were introduced to the editing aspect of a news channel, Chroma studio and the news studio where they interacted with the news reporters Ms. Manpreet Kaur & Mr. Amar Sharma. Mr. Rhythm introduced students to the Web world of the news channel where students from B.Vocational learnt technical traits of web technology used in the media field and gained wide perception regarding employment opportunity. 

5 days workshop 2D Animation for Web by JG Productions Amritsar

The 5 days Workshop on “2D Animation for Web” was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya by Dept of Multimedia from 15.01.2015 to 19.01.2015. This workshop was conducted by the professionals of JG Productions Amritsar. During the workshop students learned various Tools and Techniques of 2D animation for web. Live projects were also assigned to students to improve their core competence to enhance their employability.  This is step toward to inculcate the Animation skill of Students of B.M.M and B.Vocational. Ms. Satinder Saini the delegate from JG Productions delivered the technical knowledge to the students. Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bahrdwaj appreciated the efforts & motivated the students to work hard to improve their competence.
