Seminar on Current Developments in Web Technologies by Ansh Infotech, Ludhiana

A one day seminar on “Current developments in Web technologies” was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya by department of Computer science and Multimedia on 28 October 2016. Mr. Anshuman Aneja (Founder and director Ansh Infotech, Ludhiana) and Mr. Ashish Jalota (Co - founder of  Ansh Infotech, Ludhiana) enlightened the students of BMM, B. Voc web technology and Multimedia , B. Sc IT, BCA and M.Sc. with their knowledge. They had given details about the topic   “Internet of Things (IOT)” and “Digital marketing”.  There was also a practical session about the demonstration on “Raspberry pi 2” tools and its applications.  Students showed an overwhelming response to the interesting sessions on smart future devices like smart healthcare, smart buildings, smart cities and smart logistics. Dr Sangeeta Arora Head, Dept. Of Computer Science  and Mr. Jagjit Bhatia, Co-ordinator, Department of multimedia, inspired the students with their words and motivated them to think and learn beyond their curriculum. Principal Prof Dr. Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts and motivated the students to learn and achieve new heights of success. Mr. Ashish Chadha, Ms. Mansi Malhotra, Ms Anjali Sharma a, Ms. Harleen Kohli and Mr. Rahil Kapahi were also present to grace the occasion.

Media Fest Prix organized by Multimedia Department

5 day workshop on HTML5 & CSS by Nimble Technocrats, jalandhar

A five day workshop on HTML5 & CSS was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya from 27^th September to 1^st October, 2016 by Department of Multimedia. Mr. Prince Bhatt, delegate from the Nimble Technocrats, Jalandhar gave their skilled guiding principles to the foundation classes of B. Vocational (Web Technologies & Multimedia)1^st sem and BMM 3^rd sem where the topics of web technologies were discussed in detail keeping professional aspects in mind. Along with that latest advancement in the latest versions of web technologies including prominent new elements were taught to the class.   

Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts & motivated the students to enhance their skills for their secured future. Coordinator Mr. Jagjit Bhatia, Mr. Ashish, Ms. Anjali, Ms. Harleen was also present on this occasion.  

Industrial visit to Punjab Kesari News Paper office

An industrial visit was organized to Punjab Kesari newspaper printing press by the Multimedia club, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. Padam Sh.Vijay Chopra Ji blessed the students of Bachelors of Multimedia and B.Voc (Web Tech & Multimedia). The students had an opportunity to experience the step by step procedure of the designing of E-paper edition and printing department .The students got awareness of leading technologies used in the industries that will help them in increasing their employment opportunity. Padam Sh.Vijay Ji Chopra guided the students to be alert to the surrounding happenings. Principal Dr. (Prof) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts & motivated the students to think creatively and congratulated the coordinator Mr. Jagjit Bhatia for this successful visit. Mr. Ashish Chadha and Ms. Harleen was also present there.

Welcome party ‘Ru-B-Ru By Multimedia Department

A welcome party ‘Ru-B-Ru’ was organized by Multimedia Department for freshmen classes of B.Vocational (Web Technology & Multimedia) and Bachelors of Multimedia on 6-9-2016 .The students participated in various activities showcasing their talent. Miss Himani, Miss Rhea, Miss Gurveen were titled as Miss talented , Miss Elegant, Miss Fresher respectively. Officiating Principal Dr. Mrs. Adarsh Khanna appreciated the efforts of the students and inspired students to perform well in their studies. Dean Academics Mrs. Meenakshi Syal and Mrs. Cheena graced the event by their presence. Mr. Jagjit Bhatia coordinator Multimedia Department organized the event along with Ms. Anjali, Ms. Harleen with other faculty members.

HMV News Mobile App launched by Vice President, DAVCMC Dr. S.S. Khanna Ji

      Taking a step forward in the direction of globalization, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya launched its own Mobile App, HMV News Mobile App.  The App was launched by Vice President DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi Dr. S.S. Khanna, Mr. Surendra Seth, Member Local Committee and Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen.  Speaking on the occasion, Dr. S.S. Khanna said that DAV always strives to provide value based education strongly rooted in Indian Culture and yet matching up with the growing needs of technology and globalization.  Principal Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen said that it is a milestone in making the institution technology friendly and will go a long way in spreading the message of women empowerment and education.  She congratulated the Multimedia department whose efforts helped in building the app.  On this occasion, Mr. Jagjit Bhatia, Coordinator Multimedia department said that this application will act as a one-stop destination for all the information relating to HMV.  Mr. Ashish Chadha and Ms. Mansi Malhotra were also present.

Industrial Training with National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research, Chandigarh

A summer Industrial training for B.Vocational (Web Technology& Multimedia) V^th semester was conducted at NITTR, Chandigarh from 4^th July to 22^nd July for 3 weeks.Where students had undergone intense training learning from the professionals. During the Industrial training the students worked on the Projects gaining in-depth professional knowledge. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts &motivated the students to think productively. Coordinator Mr. Jagjit Bhatia with other faculty members guided the students during the training session. 

A Seminar on Big Data and Cloud Computing by Mr. Gurvinder Singh Head, Dept. of C.SC. & Engineering, GNDU, Amritsar

A Seminar on “Big data and Cloud Computing” was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya on 20.04.2016 by Department of Multimedia. Mr. Gurvinder Singh Head, Dept. of C.SC. & Engineering ,GNDU, Amritsar shared his knowledge and expertise in the field of cloud computing with the classes of BMM, B. Vocational and Computer Science. The students were enlightened with the concepts of technology of internet and motivated with the facts and knowledge delivered to them. An industrial visit to Daily Uttam Hindu Newspaper

An industrial visit was organized to daily Uttam Hindu Newspaper printing press by Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya on 26^th February, 2016 by the Multimedia club. Sh. Irwin Khanna, the chief editor of Uttam Hindu addressed the students of Bachelors of multimedia and B.voc(web tech & multimedia) giving profound knowledge about E-paper & printing procedure. The students had an opportunity to experience the step by step process of offset printing technique from film paper formation to the final printing process. Sh. Irwin Khanna presented his book ’Haan Hindu Hu’ along with a souvenir  ‘smriti patr’ on the completion of 30 years of the newspaper to each participant. Further he shared his experience and the evolution of printing presses that he has witnessed and discussed the prominence of time management that accelerates ones growth and success. Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj appreciated the efforts & motivated the students to think productively. Coordinator Mr. Jagjit Bhatia had convened the visit with other faculty members.

workshop on Adobe Flash by Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC), Jalandhar

A 40 hrs workshop on Adobe Flash was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya by Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) from 20-1-2016 to 10-02-2016. Mr. Rohit Bhatia explained the concepts of animation to the students of B. Voc classes. He started the workshop by explaining the principles of animation in detail. Students were taught animation through use of acting as a demonstration tool. He further explained the use of Adobe Flash as an animation tool for web designing and development and taught 2d animation using latest version of flash.
