Industrial visit: to Uttam Hindu News Paper


An industrial visit was organized to daily Uttam Hindu Newspaper printing press on 28th march, 2018 by the Multimedia department. Sh. Irwin Khanna, the chief editor of Uttam Hindu addressed the students of B.voc (Web tech & Multimedia) & B. Design (Multimedia) giving profound knowledge about E-paper & printing procedure. The students had an opportunity to experience the step by step process of E-News Portal and offset printing technique from film paper formation to the final printing process. Principal appreciated the efforts & motivated the students to think productively. Coordinator Mr. Jagjit Bhatia had convened the visit with other faculty members.

Seminar on Big Data Analytics by By Dr. Parteek Bhatia from Thapar University


The Department of Multimedia of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a seminar on Big Data Analytics under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen on 24.3.2018.  The resource person was Dr. Parteek Bhatia from Deptt. of Computer Science and Engineering, Thapar University, Patiala. Dr. Parteek Bhatia told the students about the great need of expertise to handle unstructured data.  He further explained the scope of NOSQL and Future of NOSQL. He also imparted theoretical and practical knowledge to the students about Big Data.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen motivated the students to learn about the new technologies and congratulated the faculty members for such initiatives.  Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Jagjit Bhatia and he said that the purpose of conducting the seminar was to sensitize the students about new technologies required by the industry in future.  All the faculty members of Multimedia Department were also present.

A poetical Recitation & Digital Poster Making Competition on S. Bhagat Singh to pay homage



The Multimedia Club in collaboration with Student Council organized a Poetical Recitation and Digital Poster Making competition to pay homage to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Ji.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed Sh. Arvind Ghai, Secretary, DAVCMC and presented mug painted with the image of the great martyr.  Separtment organized a poetical recitation contest.  The judges of the event were Mrs. Kuljit Kaur Athwal, Mrs. Ramnita Saini Sharda and Dr. Nidhi Bal.  Mr. Ashish Chadha, Incharge Multimedia Club organized Digital Poster Making competition and the judges were Dr. Sangeeta Arora, Ms. Shama Sharma and Mr. Jagjit Bhatia.  The judges were honoured by the Club.  The students of Department distributed badges of Bhagat Singh to the teachers and students.  Mrs. Navroop Kaur, Dean Youth Welfare played a recorded message of Mr. Gurbhajan Gill, a famous Punjabi Poet to the students.  Sh. Arvind Ghai and Dr. Ajay Sareen lighted candles in the memory of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and enjoyed the song ‘Mera Rang De Basanti Chola’ recited by the students of Music Department.  The winners of poetical symposium were Gurpal Kaur, Jiwanjot Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur and Manpreet Kaur.  In e-poster making Swati Sharma stood first, Jyoti got second prize, Neha came third and Mansi won a consolation prize.  The winners were given prizes and their efforts were appreciated.

HMV GIRLS BAGGED TOP POSITIONS IN UNIVERSITY


The students of Hans Raj Mahila Maya Vidyalaya once again proved their mettle by securing top positions in the B. Design Multimedia Sem 4 examination conducted by GNDU. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen Congratulated the students - Gurveen(1st) Amrit (3rd), sakshi (5th) , Zenia (10th) and Kriti 10th) on their efforts.
