An
informative and captivating seminar on ‘E-resources and its Dissemination’ was
delivered by Dr. Gurvinder Singh, Dean, Faculty of Engg. & Technology, GNDU
Amritsar at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized by Department of
Multimedia under the motivation of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Principal Dr. Sareen welcomed the guest by
presenting a planter.
Dr. Anjana Bhatia introduced Dr.
Gurvinder as an eminent educationist who has achieved laurels in the field of
teaching and learning. Dr. Gurvinder
emphasized on the use of innovative methods with special focus on MOOCs. He apprised that it will be compulsory for
every student to take up atleast one course under MOOCs, an initiative of MHRD
and SWAYAM. For promoting it, the
government is providing the courses free of charge and has also allocated marks
for it in API score and NAAC accreditation.
MOOCs are being used worldwide to benefit the students and it will
replace the obsolete methods of pedagogy.
It is the need of the hour and the institutions will soon adopt it
completely.
The seminar was attended by all the
faculty members of the college. Mr.
Jagjit Bhatia was the coordinator of the seminar.
