Diwali Exhibition-2023 by PG Department of Multimedia

The Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya skill courses arranged Diwali Utsav 2023. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Dean of Academics Dr. Seema Marwaha, and Dean of Youth Welfare Mrs. Navroop Kaur all presided over the Diwali Utsav ceremony. One highlight of the celebration was the stall presented by the PG Department of Multimedia. This stall showcased the incredible talent of our students, and it was truly a sight to behold. Within the stall, there were a variety of items for sale, including greeting cards, photo frames, handmade bracelets, and other accessories. One of the most impressive aspects of the stall was the live illustrations created by the B.design (multimedia) student. Her artistic skills were on display, captivating all who visited the stall.

Screening of Award Winning Stop Motion Movie "PINOCCHIO"

 

On 13th Oct’ 23, a special screening of a stop-motion film called "PINOCCHIO" took place. The event was organized by The PG Department of Multimedia, which provided a unique opportunity to gain insights into the making of this highly regarded and Oscar-winning film. During the screening, attendees were given an exclusive behind-the-scenes look, allowing them to learn more about the fascinating process of creating animated films.

The process of stop-motion animation involves making subtle physical modifications to objects between each frame that is captured. These minute adjustments create the illusion of independent movement or changes when the sequence of frames is played back. Understanding this process gives students a deeper appreciation for the artistry and skill required to bring animated films to life.

HMV students got University positions in B. Design (Multimedia), Semester - VI

 

Students of B. Design (Multimedia), Semester – VI of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya got university positions in Guru Nanak Dev University. Shweta stood 1st in university with 1129 out of 1200 marks, Krishika Chauhan stood 2nd with 1118 out of 1200 marks. Principal Prof. Dr.(Mrs) Ajay Sareen congratulated the students and Head of the Department, Mr. Ashish Chadha, Ms. Sonali Beri were also present on this occasion.

Poster Making Competition – Teacher's Day

 

On September 5, 2023, the Multimedia Club of PG Department of Multimedia organized an exciting poster-making competition. The students participated enthusiastically and showcased their artistic abilities and inventiveness through a variety of handcrafted and digital posters. The effort put into these creations was truly remarkable. The department received immense support and recognition from Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, the principal. Her appreciation for the department's initiative in organizing this contest meant a lot.

Siksha Sangam - 29 July 2023

 

The students were excited to be part of the virtual launch of the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam. The event was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi himself. The launch took place at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on the 29th of July, 2023. In his speech, the Prime Minister stressed the significance of education, highlighting its potential to shape the development of our nation. It was an inspiring and memorable experience for everyone involved.

Multimedia students Passed Sector Skill Council Exam

 

The students of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya cleared the laurels of Sector Skill Council Exam with flying colours. The students of PG Department of Mass Comm. and Video Production (B.Voc. Journalism and Media) and PG Department of Multimedia passed various Qualification Packs of Media and Entertainment Skill Council, New Delhi. These levels were Correspondent, Lighting Director Editor in Chief and Graphic Designer. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the students. She told that the students get themselves certified from Sector Skill Council under B.Voc Courses. It gives them more weightage during placements. HMV is providing Sector Skill Council Courses to the students with professional approach which includes B.Voc. Journalism and Media and B.Voc (Web Technology and Multimedia). Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen also congratulated Head of MCVP Department Mrs. Rama Sharma and Head of Multimedia Department Mr. Ashish Chadha. Screening of Oscar Winning Documentary in HMV

 

The PG Department of Mass Communication and Video Production and PG Department of Multimedia of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar jointly screened the Oscar Winning Documentary “The Elephant Whisperers” under the aegis of Institute Innovation Council. The students of Mass Communication, Multimedia and Botany Department watched the documentary. The students watched the documentary and discussed the various aspects of the documentary. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen  appreciated the efforts of MCVP, Multimedia and IIC. She said that we all should feel proud of winning the Oscar. It is very important to tell different aspects of award winning documentary to the students and the special thing about the documentary. The students discussed various shots, editing techniques, the bond between man and animal shown in the documentary. All the students also wrote a review of documentary. On this occasion, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dean Research and Incharge IIC, Dr. Nitika, Mr. Ashish Chadha Head of Multimedia Department, Ms. Priyanka Jain, Ms. Priya Sharma, Mr. Rishabh Dhir were also present.

Multimedia Club of HMV organizes Seminar on Video Broadcasting

 

The PG Department of Multimedia organized a Seminar on Video Broadcasting under the able guidance of Principal Prof Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The session was lead by Er. Garima Bawa, Senior Enterprise Engineer from Evertz Microsystems, Canada. Dean Academics Dr. Seema Marwaha welcomed the Resource Person and said that the main purpose behind such seminar is to provide a platform where the professionals from the industry and the students can directly communicate with each other and students can enhance their knowledge about the latest trends and technologies prevailing in the industry. Er. Garima Bawa, highlighted how the news channel broadcast their live news and motivated the young minds to utilize these techniques for their knowledge enhancement. She demonstrated the live example of Video Broadcasting being used in Canada. She developed a simple graphic appearance of a news channel CNBC TV18 in 10 minutes live in the session. The Resource Person fuelled the students with more enthusiasm to create and demonstrate real life examples during their project course work. This session makes the student aware about the recent changes happening in the Digital world from the point of view of a Multimedia and Video Broadcasting Professional. In an interactive session with students, she guided the students about different start-ups and guided them to follow their dreams with the help of the recent digital resource. At the end of the session, Student queries were taken up by the Resource Person. After the Webinar coordinator Mr. Ashish Chadha presented vote of thanks. The moderator of the event was Mr. Rishabh Dhir from PG Department of Multimedia. Ms. Prabhjit Kaur and Ms. Sonali from Multimedia Department also joined the webinar.

Multimedia Club of PG Department of Multimedia, HMV organized a visit to Machinex – 2023

The Multimedia Club of PG Department of Multimedia organized a visit to Machinex – 2023 for the students of B. Design (Multimedia), B. Vocational & M. Vocational (Web Tech. & Multimedia). The students had an opportunity to know about the cloud storage and working infrastructure. Mr. Mukesh Bansal, Director, Btrack India Pvt. Ltd.  guided the students about their solutions for Cloud hosting , Backup and Security Services to their esteemed clients. He also provided knowledge about their technical support to websites and softwares through their VPS and different Servers. During the visit, the students came to know about the impression and laser printing on Pens, Book Covers and Metal via the industry BEE Prints. The students got awareness of leading technologies used in the industries that will help them in increasing their knowledge for better employment opportunity. Mr. Ashish Chadha, Head companied the students to the exhibition. Principal, Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen praised the efforts of the department. On this occasion Mr. Rishabh Dhir were also present.
